Dallas Jenkins really wants to get a jump on the holidays. The director of The Chosen is also the director of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever which is opening on November 7, 2024. BUT the filmmaker is offering a special preview on November 2nd and offering tickets to go see it! Okay, not everyone gets to go see it for free – just the kids. The Christmas tale stars Judy Greer who plays Grace, a busy mom who reluctantly agrees to direct her church’s annual pageant by the book despite the new challenges placed before her. And by challenges, I mean the six roughneck siblings who volunteer to star in the pageant (and threaten to beat up any of the other kids who want to challenge them in this endeavor). They make a mess of things and yet in the end, it all works out for good. The movie also stars Pete Holmes, Molly Belle Wright and Lauren Graham as the story’s narrator.
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is based on the beloved children’s book of the same name by Barbara Robinson and from the new trailer, it appears that the bulk of the story remains the same. Although the story has been presented as a play and a made-for-TV movie, this will be the first big screen adaptation of the story.
