I wonder how many people from the Academy are second-guessing their choice to honor Elton John’s song over Cynthia Erivo’s from last night’s Oscars?
Whoa. I have to say, I was really surprised to see that this year’s Oscars was a lot less mean-spirited and politically-charged than in recent years. It was a refreshing change and hopefully one that will stick.
Maybe, just maybe this year will be different. In the fast few years, the glitz, and glamour of the award show is still intact, but the whole celebration of Hollywood and movie-making seems to have disappeared in favor of the cause of the day. (I wonder what color of ribbons everyone will be dressed with this year?) But as the say, the show must go on.
