It’s that time of the year again to celebrate the best of the best movies (The Academy Awards) and chastising the worst of the worst (The Golden Raspberry Awards). Ana de Armas, the star of Blonde (Netflix’s biopic about Marilyn Monroe) was nominated for an Oscar while Xavier Samuel was nominated for a Razzie for Worst Actor in the same film. For the movie Elvis, Austin Bulter was nominated for an Oscar while Tom Hanks was nominated for a Razzie for Worst Supporting Actor. (Hanks was also nominated for Worst Actor for Disney’s “live action” version of Pinnochio.
The 95th Academy Awards aired live on ABC on March 12 and the Razzies were given out on “Oscars Eve” aka, March 11.
