It’s always great to see stars from Saturday Night Live continue their success in their own TV series. For Apple TV+, its’ even greater. Two of the streamers biggest shows “graduated” from SNL.
For fans of Ted Lasso – yes, it’s true. Season four is actually happening. For proof, Apple TV+ has passed along an image of Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift), Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham, Keeley Jones (Juno Temple) and Ted (Jason Sudeikis) sitting in a corner booth of a local coffee shop – most likely in the good ol’ USA.
If you recall, the series did end with Ted flying back home, but fans wanted more, so from the photo, it looks as if he might be persuaded to return to London after all. Many of the characters that you know, and love will be back plus a whole slew of new ones. Not a lot of info has been given on the plot of season four except that Ted will be “taking on his biggest challenge yet”. Ted will be back at AFC Richmond but this time he’s being tasked to work his magic with a second division women’s football team.
“Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would,” says a press release for Apple TV+.
Season four not only welcomes back Sudeikis, Waddingham, Temple and Swift but also Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein. New cast members include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely, who is stepping in as Ted’s son, Henry.

No premiere date has been given for season four of Ted Lasso but Apple has announced that season three of Loot will begin streaming on October 15, 2025. Maya Rudolph returns at Molly Wells, who finds herself with more money than she knows what to do with after her divorce from her wealthy tech billionaire husband John Novak (Adam Scott).
Fans of Loot were left hanging when season two ended with Molly boarding her private plane hoping to get as far away as possible from a mess that was created with fellow billionaires stepping up philanthropy and her “awkward exchange with her will-they, won’t-they colleague ‘Arthur’ (Nat Faxon)”.
But she must come back because season three continues the misadventures of the misfits at The Wells Foundation. Their goal continues to be finding ways to live up to Molly’s promise to give away all her fortune. (Hey, I’ll take some over here if you can spare it.)
Alongside Rudolph, the returning ensemble cast includes Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Nat Faxon, Ron Funches, Joel Kim Booster. Additionally, season three will feature special guest star appearances by Stephanie Styles, D’Arcy Carden, Adam Scott, Zane Phillips, Henry Winkler, X Mayo and more.
The first three seasons of Ted Lasso and two seasons of Loot can be found right now on Apple TV+.
