For obsessive pop culture fans, you never know what you will “need” until you see it, but Pop Mart hopes that their new line of Pop Cubes will fill the bill. Unlike Tsum Tsum, where the collectibles are soft and roundish, Pop Cubes are hard and square-shaped with “magnetic capabilities.” The magnetic features within each Cube allows collectors to stack them in multiple combinations.

Debuting this week online and on store shelves in September, the first three Pop Cube collections are based on beloved Pixar characters from such films like Toy Story, WALL-E, The Incredibles, Up, Monsters Inc, Soul, Inside Out, Coco and Turning Red.

Series 1: Buzz Lightyear, Little Bo Peep’s Sheep, Slinky Dog and Chuckles the Clown from Toy Story, WALL-E, Up’s Russel, Lightning McQueen from Cars, The Incredibles’ Violet, and Soul’s Joe. (Pop Mart)

Each collection contains nine “blind boxes” (meaning that each package will be a surprise to the buyer). Each Cube stands at 4.5cm (just under two inches). The price per blind box is $13.99. A full set sells for $125.91. Pop Mart says that after the initial launch, they will be offering additional collections of other fan favorites.

Series 2: Woody, Zurg, Little Bo Peep, Jessie and Bunny & Chick from Toy Story, Inside Out’s Sadness, Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc., Up’s Carl Fredricksen and WALL-E’s EVE. (Pop Mart)

“We are thrilled to offer collectors a new way to enjoy blind boxes and their favorite characters from Pixar with the launch of Pop Cube” says Larry Lu, Head of Pop Mart North America. “This new iteration of blind boxes allows us to continue to pioneer the designer toy industry while expanding our US and global audience.”

Series 3: Rex, Hamm, Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear and Aliens from Toy Story, Sulley from Monsters Inc., Inside Out’s Anger, Coco’s Ernesto de la Cruz, The Incredibles’ Dash and Red Panda Mei from Turning Red.(Pop Mart)

Like stores like Funko and BoxLunch, Pop Mart carries a large assortment of figurines, badges, pendants, mugs, bags and phone accessories based on characters from Disney, Harry Potter, Skullpanda, Crybaby, Kubo and more. They operate over 450 stores in over 30 countries but only a dozen of them can be found in the United States. These locations Include:

  • California: Westfield UTC (San Diego), South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa), Glendale Mall (Glendale), Century City Mall (Los Angeles), Westfield Valley Fair (Santa Clara) and Stonestown Galleria (San Francisco)
  • Washington: Bellevue Square (Bellevue), Alderwood Mall (Lynnwood), Westfield Southcenter (Seattle)
  • New Jersey: American Dream Mall (East Rutherford)
  • New York: World Trade Center (New York)
  • Nevada: Fashion Show Mall (Las Vegas)

Pop Cubes will be available to purchase online beginning on August 15 at 10 p.m. (ET) and within brick-and-mortar stores in September.
