Disney just completed the 2026 edition of D23 and they announced many upcoming movies including Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Doomsday which comes to theaters this December. Check out the newly released teaser trailer and photos below and don’t miss the huge list of movies coming up through 2029.

FIRST LOOK:
Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday
After D23 this past weekend, Disney has released photos from the trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday. Not much else has been given for the movie which opens in theaters on December 18, 2026. But we do know that this movie takes place 14 months after the events that happened in 2025’s Thunderbolts movie. The movie will be packed with characters from different Marvel universes: Earth 616 (The Avengers, Wakandans and New Avengers), Earth 828 (Fantastic Four) and the X-Men arrive from yet another one. All Disney is saying at this point is “Beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.”
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’ Esposito and Jonathan Schwartz, Avengers: Doomsday stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum, Simu Liu, Ian McKellen, Tom Hiddleston, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Joseph Quinn, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman, Kelsey Grammer, Kathryn Newton, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Alan Cumming, Hannah John-Kamen, Rebecca Romijn, Mabel Cadena, with Tenoch Huerta Mejia. However, there are rumors that more names will be added to the list in the coming months.

The Odyssey
The Odyssey is an action/adventure film, this is true, but it is also emotional theater. There is a feeling of dread from the first moment the movie begins. The dread doesn’t let up until just before the credits roll. It is as enjoyable as it is sobering.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the best of all the movies that came before it. It still has plenty of action (the scenes that feature “The Hand” are especially cool), but it doesn’t dominate the story or go into eyeroll territory during the climax that so many other superhero movies do.
The End of Oak Street
The End of Oak Street is similar to Jurassic Park but without all of the science-y stuff. It’s like the a “B” movie from the 1950s but with a bigger budget. It’s full of jump scares, humor and heart. It’s the perfect popcorn movie of the summer.
Supergirl
Parents wanting to take their little girls to see Supergirl to enjoy some “girl power” should think again. Maybe the next one, but in this PG-13 film, Kara is hardly a role model. Not only that, but Supergirl is quite violent and intense.
