Brad Pitt and Pooch Struggle to Survive in ‘Heart of the Beast’

“It’s not who you live for…it’s who you’d die for” is a tagline for Brad Pitt’s upcoming Heart of the Beast movie. I can only hope that it’s not foreshadowing, because this looks like a great adventure movie that will make a lot of us sad if it has a sad ending.
Heart of the Beast is a buddy movie adventure story. It stars Brad Pitt as James Belmong, a former Army Special Forces soldier and his retired service dog, Odin. (I suspect there will be a rise in popularity of German Shepherds when this comes out.) After a terrible plane crash, the two find themselves stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness. Together, they are forced into a brutal fight for survival against the elements.
Directed by David Ayer, Heart of the Beast is an intense adventure thriller that mostly contains two actors – Pitt and the dog. However, Anna Lambe is said to be in here and J.K. Simmons is taking a break from his Farmer Insurance Commercials to appear in this too.
Heart of the Beast comes to theaters on September 25.

‘Talladega Nights’ Roars Back into Theaters for 20th Anniversary

Columbia Pictures is celebrating the 20th anniversary of one of Will Ferrell more off-the-wall comedies, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Described by the studio as “one of the most quotable comedies of the 2000s”, Talladega Nights is coming back to theaters for three days only this June and July
The action comedy based in the world of NASCAR stock car racing, Talladega Nights tells the fictional story of stock car racing champ Ricky Bobby (Ferrell). He’s a legend because of his “win at all costs” approach to racing.
John C. Reilly plays Cal Naughton Jr., Ricky’s racing partner. Together, they are known as “Thunder” and “Lightning” to their fans. They are also called that because they typically finish in the #1 and #2 positions. But they are threatened when flamboyant French Formula One driver Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen) challenges them for the supremacy of NASCAR, Ricky Bobby must face his own demons and fight Girard for the right to be known as racing’s top driver.
In addition to Ferrell, Reilly and Cohen, Talladega Nights also stars Gary Cole, Michael Clark Duncan, Leslie Bibb, Jane Lynch, Amy Adams, Andy Richter, Molly Shannon, and Jack McBrayer.
Talladega Nights plays in theaters on June 28, 30 and July 1.
RECENT MOVIE REVIEWS
I Swear

Unlike some biopics, I Swear presents a realistic portrayal of John Davidson’s frustrations, setback and ultimately, celebrations. It could be a depressing film, but it’s not.
Michael

If I had to come up with only one word to describe this biopic it would be “sad”. The story isn’t all bleak, but Michael Jackson spent his whole life looking for happiness and I doubt that he ever found it.
The Sheep Detectives

This is an adult story that children are welcomed to join in. Much like a classic animated Disney tale, The Sheep Detectives is truly a story that all ages will enjoy.
