Whoa. I have to say, I was really surprised to see that this year’s Oscars was a lot less mean-spirited and politically-charged than in recent years. It was a refreshing change and hopefully one that will stick.
Maybe, just maybe this year will be different. In the fast few years, the glitz, and glamour of the award show is still intact, but the whole celebration of Hollywood and movie-making seems to have disappeared in favor of the cause of the day. (I wonder what color of ribbons everyone will be dressed with this year?) But as the say, the show must go on.
The idea of having one’s fiscally irresponsible parents move in with you is an interesting one and Steven Weber and Fran Drescher do make an interesting couple.
No longer are LEGO bricks the scourge of naked adult feet and no longer are adults seen as childish for playing with them. Instead, they are “master builders,” which in Hebrew means “adults who play with toys” I think.
