Annie F. Downs Welcomes Two More Podcasts

That Sounds Fun Podcast Network

On November 23, 2014, author and speaker Annie F. Downs brought forth her podcast, That Sounds Fun, to the world. Today, over 275 episodes and 44 million downloads later, her podcast has grown into a network of podcasts hosted by a variety of Christian speakers, singers, authors and comedians. That Sounds Fun Network “is meant to be a place where podcasters can feel a sense of community and listeners can be entertained and perhaps, changed” says the network on its website. They also call themselves an “amusement park of podcasts” which does indeed sound like fun and a welcome change to traditional preacher programming.

The two newest shows on the network are We’re Going There with Bianca Olthoff and Human Hope with Carlos Whittaker.  Launched only a couple of weeks ago, We’re Going There with Bianca Olthoff invites guests to discuss relevant topics affecting all aspects of their lives. From relationships to race relations, faith to fashion, the conversations promise to “leave you with practical tips, fun ways to talk about tough topics, and stories with amazing people to impact your life.” As as the title implies, no topic is off the table but rest-assured, faith will always be at the forefront of the conversation.

In a time where humanity is desperate to find hope, Carlos’ new show is a breath of fresh air. Launching today (!),Carlos will lead fun discussions about everyday joy to polarizing and challenging topics. Carlos believes that even with the most calloused heart, there is still hope in humanity. And boy do we need that.

Other shows that you’ll find on the nework include:

Be The Bridge with Latasha Morrison

Latasha Morrison is a best-selling and award winning author, bridge-builder, reconciler, and a compelling voice in the fight for racial justice. In 2016, she founded Be the Bridge, a non-profit organization equipping more than 1,000 sub-groups across five countries to serve as ambassadors of racial reconciliation. This podcast is another step is cultivating conversations that will hopefully lead to real change.

Dadville

Dave Barnes and Jon McLaughlin are best known for their individual and very successful careers as musicians and songwriters. But when their work day is done, when the tour bus parks back in Nashville, when the song is written (or even when it’s not), they have another life – Dad life. They may reside in Nashville, but they come home to Dadville. The stories these two have about parenting, and life in general, are (almost) unbelievably funny. The guests that come on the show share their own dad stories and life experiences, and this is the kind of show that every man (and woman) will listen to, enjoy, and feel encouraged by. And laugh. Everyone will laugh.

Next Right Thing with Emily P. Freeman

Emily P. Freeman is a Wall Street Journal bestselling author, podcast host, and curious listener dedicated to helping you create space for your soul to breathe so you can discern your next right thing in love. Her podcast, released weekly, is a place for the second-guessers, the chronically hesitant, or anyone who suffers from decision fatigue. Because out of the thousands of decisions you make everyday, chances are a few of them threaten to keep you up at night. If you’re in a season of transition, waiting, general fogginess or if you’ve ever searched “how to make a decision” on the internet, listen in.

Annie and Eddie Keep Talking

Birthed from the weird-unprecedented-trying times being sheltered in place during COVID 19 and the need to stay connected, friends and podcasters Annie F. Downs and Eddie Kaufholz host a 30ish minute show, releasing Tuesdays and Fridays. It’s a show that promises laughs, random topical deep dives and rabbit trails…all the things that seem to happen when Annie and Eddie keep talking.

Stories from 100 Days to Brave

With the release of the new 100 Days To Brave journal, Annie and the crew have brought the stories of ten people whose lives have been touched by the book to share their moving, funny, heartbreaking, strong, amazing stories. All ten episodes will be available right now. No need to wait.

The Matthew West Podcast

Joining Matthew on his podcast will be some of his favorite artists, authors, athletes, and influencers such as Mark Hall from Casting Crowns, best selling author Max Lucado, Sadie and Korie Robertson, NBA star Cody Zeller, best- selling author and speaker Jon Gordon, and many more. In addition, listeners will be taken behind- the-scenes in each episode to experience some of the powerful stories behind his music.

All of the That Sounds Fun podcasts are available to listen on a variety of services including Amazon Music, Pandora, Google Podcasts, Spotify and more.
