In 1969, Dennis King and his wife Carole opened Tiffany’s Skate Inn in Puyallup. It was their fourth roller skating facility built in Washington. Dennis passed away in 2013 and sometime later, Dennis, Jr. and his wife Melinda began to oversee the facility and Tiffany’s Skate Inn was renamed Skate Tiffany’s. Soon, the place received an upgrade with an improved arcade and snack bar. In 2017, the beautiful King Mini Golf Park opened next door to Skate Tiffany’s. By now though, the title “Skate Tiffany’s Roller Skating & Family Fun Center and King Mini Golf Park” was a mouthful, so on April 1st of this year, the complex has officially changed its whole operation to simply King Family Fun Center.
Currently, only the mini golf portion of the center is open, but in hopes of drawing in visitors during this time of COVID-19, the park is giving away a $5 King Arcade Gift Card (to use when the arcade reopens) when you reserve your tee time online. It’s a win-win for both you and the King’s.
As you can imagine, things are a little different this summer. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online ahead of time, no cash is being accepted, a maximum of five players can be at any one hole and only those with tickets will be allowed in (no spectators, unless you are a baby in a stroller). You’ll also be asked to wash your hands before and after your game. As of course, if you are not feeling well, please stay home.
King Mini Golf Park is currently open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Green fees are $10 (ages 13 and up) and $8 for seniors 60+ and kids age 12 and under. You can order your tickets online here.
King Mini Golf Park is located at 1113 N Meridian, Puyallup, WA 98371. For more info: 253-848-1153 / kingfamilyfuncenter.com
