Disney Releases ‘Jungle Cruise’ Trailer

Although a movie based on Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise attraction has been in the works since 2006, we finally get to a trailer for the film coming to theaters next July. The movie has gone through development hell with scripts rewritten and cast changes along the way.
At one point it was announced that Jungle Cruise would star Tom Hanks and Tim Allen who usually work together voicing the roles of Buzz Lightyear and Woody the cowboy for the Toy Story cartoons. By 2015, the movie was being redeveloped to star Dwayne Johnson with another script. In 2018, Emily Blunt joined the cast with yet another script in hand. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, the Amazon-jungle expedition adventures stars Johnson as a charismatic riverboat captain and Emily Blunt as a determined explorer on a research mission. Also starring in the film are Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.

Jungle Cruise was originally planned to be released this month but it has been delayed until July 24, 2020. At least we finally get to see a trailer for the new movie…
