Knott’s Berry Farm Peanuts Celebration

Knotts Berry Farm Peanuts Celebration

When is the best time to visit “California’s original theme park?” If you are a Peanuts fan – it’s now. Charlie Brown and friends have been longtime residents of Knott’s Berry Farm since Camp Snoopy opened in 1983. Since then, the presence of Peanuts have become more plentiful.

Starting last weekend and running through February 17, 2020, Knott’s is offering a Peanuts Celebration each weekend where guests can step inside the pages of a Charles M. Schulz comic strip and enjoy new character experiences, activities, live entertainment, and deliciously themed-treats. Here are some what what you can expect when you go:

  • Step Into a Comic Strip
In addition to meeting your favorite pals, you can actually pose in a variety of comic strip frames.
  • Pigskin Peanuts
Organized by the Charles M. Schultz Museum, this exhibit chronicles the the legacy of Peanuts through the comic strip’s football-theme storylines including when Lucy pulled the football away from Charlie Brown for the first time.
  • Woodstock’s Music Festival
What a great idea. The Peanuts crew have joined the park’s bank, “The Jelly of the Month Club” for a high energy rock concert tailored for the fam.
  • Peanuts Sketch School
Grab a seat on rug on the floor and let Knott’s resident art teacher show you how to draw Snoopy and friends.
  • Pigpen’s Pig Pen
Not exactly the most popular Peanuts character, but definitely one that everyone know, Pigpen, is hosting his own meet-and-greet at the Livery Stables.
  • Peanuts Cowboy Jamboree
Franklin and Linus lead the way for some of the “rootinest, tootinest games this side of Calico” including Race and Stick Horse and Bowl and Cactus.
  • Space Beagle
Located in Camp Snoopy Theater, see how Snoopy becomes the first dog on the moon.
  • Happiness Is…” Show
Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Peppermint Patty play, dance and sing through a medley of popular songs about fun, laughter and the true bonds of friendship.
  • Discoteca De Silencio
One of the oddest additions is this event where Snoopy’s brother Spike hosts a silent disco.

And if you want to make your trip REALLY special, consider booking a room at the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel which is offering Peanuts Celebration packages. The 320-room hotel features a Snoopy-themed wing, fitness center, pool with children’s activity area, lighted sports courts and many other amenities. Packages include one-day admission to the park, one Camp Snoopy Picture Frame, one single-use Fast Lane ticket per guest, hotel parking. And if you are going this far, you might as well add on the special tuck-in service by Snoopy and breakfast at the Amber Waves restaurant.
