Who hasn’t thought after watching dozens of episodes of The Munsters or The Addams Family, “I wish I could go there.” Believe it or not, you can! But the homes are not located where you would expect them to be. Munster Mansion is located in Texas and the Addams home can be found in New York. Who knew?

The Addams Family Home

While they might be creepy and kooky, mysterious and spooky and all together ooky, the Addams Family home is actually quite nice. Or so the people from Booking.com would have you believe. In honor of the MGM animated movie that is in theaters right now, the company is offering stays in this 3,700 square foot, 19th century era townhouse located in historic Clinton Hill Brooklyn, but only for a limited time.

The town house features all of the macabe features one would expect including spooky snacks, a lot of Addams Family swag and a personal screening of the new movie.

“Guests will be able to tinker with machines in Pugsley’s Room, play with Wednesday’s beheaded doll in the living room, and even care for some of Morticia’s carnivorous plants. Decorated in true Addams Family fashion, there are vases of just rose stems, and yes, Lurch’s famous “you rang” bell,” says Booking.com’s website.

The Addams Family Mansion is available for $101.10 per night with bookings opening on October 28th at 12:00 p.m. EST, with four overnight stays occurring each night from October 29th until November 1, 2019.

The Munster Mansion

Though not found at 1313 Mockingbird Lane, the Munster Mansion is a full-size replica of the TV home built by Charles and Sandra McKee in Waxahachie, Texas. Since 2002, the couple have gone to great lengths to make the house look strikeningly similar to the TV one cobwebs and all. Each room has been transformed after watching many hours of the 60’s sitcom.

According the McKee’s, many of the pieced in house are actual props or exact replicas from the TV show. And they aren’t finished. The couple continue to add new touches here and there every year.

“It was a challenging project, as there were no plans or blueprints to go by,” say the McKee’s. “The house was completely designed by the use of the show footage. Living in the Munster Mansion is a dream come true for us.”

Even Butch Patrick, who played Eddie on the original TV series is impressed. Below is his personal video tour of the place from two years ago.

While it is truly a site to see, you must be invited to see Munster Mansion as the couple actually live here. However, that can be arranged quite easily.

“Each year we have an open house with organized tours and entertainment to help support a local charity. All proceeds are donated. We love to share our passion for this house and make a difference to a local organization while doing so,” say the McKee’s. That’s them below!

Throughout the rest of the year, private tours are offered for $120 for groups up to four people (each additional guest is $30). Tours are available on a first come, first serve basis and no tours are given on Sundays. They also offer monthly murder mystery dinners which includes a tour, dinner and drinks. Oh, and everyone who attends must dressed in a costume for the full experience
